A Cucumber Crush Thank You

Do you love the new Stampin’ Up! green – Cucumber Crush? I like it a lot more than I originally thought I would!

We were using Cucumber Crush at our team training day last month and made this lovely thank you card with the Watercolour Thankyou stamp:

The best bit about Stampin’ Up! is their total colour coordination. You know that whatever products you pick in a certain colour will match perfectly! On this card we have Cucumber Crush ink, cardstock, lace ribbon, flower accents and Designer Series Paper/ Envelope paper. And it all looks perfectly colour-coordinated. I love that!

Though having said that, I think that the absolute best bits about Stampin’ Up! are the quality and range of their products. They are gorgeous, and there’s something to suit everyone. If you want girlie and flowery and lacy they have something for you, but if you want something cool and calm and masculine they cover those bases too. And with small children there’s *always* an element of cute that cannot be escaped – and that’s covered for me too! A fabulous example of that is one of my pre-order stamp sets which arrived yesterday. I don’t have a photo of it yet (I have such a busy week this week gearing up for my brother’s wedding on Friday that I couldn’t even unpack my box last night) but when I get time to breathe again I will definitely be sharing that with you! Think little angels and elves…

I sat and did a bit of crafting last night, but not because I was slacking off in such a busy week, it was one of the things I had to do in order to be ready for Friday! I can’t share it yet in case it is seen by those who should not see it until later, but I am really pleased with it. It involves pearlised card and letter dies and embossing folders (well, one!) and stamps…. and I am really pleased with it. It is very heavy, though, due to the number of layers!! I’m sure they will love it. And not a drop of Cucumber Crush to be seen! 😉

I still have more of the team training day projects to share with you, and when I get a chance to do more crafting (not until next week) I will be making some projects and cards using my beautiful new seasonal catalogue goodies to whet your appetite for September. Keep your eyes peeled for an announcement of my launch party Open House event which will be coming up at the end of the month/ early September. Don’t forget to let me know if you want to come along. There are some fabulous offerings in the new catalogue and again, there is something for everyone. I am very tempted to go with a colour combo for my cards this year using the fresh layers of Cucumber Crush. Christmas is coming… my little bear and I were singing Jingle Bells this morning! Hahaha!

But first, my birthday… 8 days and counting…

About Katie

Katie has been crafting for most of her life, but has been an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since April 2010. Her favourite techniques are rubber stamping, heat embossing and 3D decoupage, mainly applied in card making, but she's also an avid memory keeper! She loves the pocket scrapbooking style as it is quick and easy, and makes memory keeping much more achievable for her than the "traditional" option. She would love to share this with you if you are intrigued!
