Morning!
Today is the day – the Retiring List has posted for 2015! Now is your chance to know what products will definitely not be carrying forwards to the new catalogue on June 2nd, and some of them are available at up to 50% discount!
See the list here: EU_retiredList_2015
As I mentioned previously, the Stampin’ Up! Digital Design software My Digital Studio (MDS) is also retiring at the end of May, so all of those products are available at 30% off. Now’s the time to grab them! MDS_2015
Make sure that you get your orders in if you want these products – they are only available while stocks last. Due to the high demand for retiring stamps, these will continue to be produced into May, but accessories are based on the current stock and will not be manufactured any more, so definitely be quick for those!
Email me at katie at deepbluecrafting.co.uk or phone, text or use the Contact Katie form here! Or obviously you can shop online!
And now, as promised on Thursday, here’s the pretty 65th birthday card I made for one of the Chief Engineers at work:
I used the balloon framelits, coloured card, the alphabet dies for the Big Shot and Sassy Salutations inked with a marker for the sentiment! The card base is 8″ square, and is non-SU, but it looks great as it is a silvery pearlised finish. The letters and numbers are cut from Soft Sky, as it looked less stark than Whisper White. The number balloons stand out in the white, though. And they are “tied down” or “anchored” with Basic Black Bakers Twine, which is secured with a slip knot to the balloon and that technique works really well. The white items (balloons and sentiment) are popped up on Dimensionals, and the coloured balloons are stuck straight onto the card base.
I stamped on the inside with a sentiment from And Many More:
And I even decorated the envelope:
So Shelli would be pleased!
Bob did like his card, and was suitably impressed. It took longer to make than I had anticipated, due to wanting to get the balance of the design right, and the fact that an 8″ square card is a larger “canvas” than I am used to working with. But I was really pleased with the end result. I love these balloon framelits right now! I really hope they will carry forwards into the new Annual Catalogue in June, and as demonstrators we will find that out next week – how exciting! If you want to be privy to exciting news and sneak peeks before the general public, then definitely speak to me about becoming a Demonstrator. The cost is £99 for the starter kit which includes business resources and additional product value, and there is no obligation at all.
Just a heads-up, if you like the dies used for the letters and numbers on this card, they are retiring with the end of this catalogue (which is a shame as I really like the font!) and the letter set is discounted…
Have a great day. I’m off to visit my Grandad in hospital this afternoon as he’s been poorly over the weekend, but hopefully he’ll recover nicely. I have some nice artwork for him from the twins, so that will cheer him up!
