Nan. We all have (or had) at least one if not two, and may or may not call her Nan. I have one Nan, and had a Grandma but she died in 2012 (and is still sorely missed). Gary has two Nans, whom this post is about. It’s funny, as both of their birthdays are in June, only about a week apart, though they were born in different years.
So we sent them birthday cards. Well, you do, don’t you?!
The thing about these two birthdays is that somehow they creep up on me. Every Year. Can you believe it?! I don’t know why, but they just don’t appear on my radar until they are almost upon us, and I don’t even have the excuse of them being at the beginning of the month – they fall near the end of the month, one being exactly 6 months from Christmas!
Anyway, these cards were sorted and sent, and I really hope they liked them.
You can’t beat a good butterfly card, can you, especially for those of us who have buddleias and the like to attract butterflies to watch (which I know one of this pair does!). I believe that one or two of the colours used here are retired, but I’m not quite sure which they were so cannot say for sure. I know that the ribbon is definitely retired but there are loads of pretty new ones in the Annual Catalogue which you can choose from instead.
In other news, I am overjoyed that I finally have my “new” iPhone back in my possession, so I can finally get going on sorting that out, making sure that it is fully unlocked for my network, loading my apps onto it and then return the one that I am lucky enough to have borrowed for a couple of months or more! I need to sort my iCloud storage and upgrade that to save all my photos, and make sure I have everything backed up off the borrowed phone before I give it back. I then need to look closely at the pay as you go and contract options available as I am sure I am spending far more than I need to for my phone, but I love being able to send texts and messages easily. I am also finding I am using a little bit of data each month, through accessing bits on my iPhone when not connected to Wifi. Not a lot, though! It is fabulous to get quality pictures taken with a phone, too, so I can easily share, upload and use them (especially with the Project Life app!) so I am hardly using my “normal” camera and the phone fits in my pocket so much easier!
So I have lots to do to keep me occupied, and I really want to scrap some of the lovely photos taken at our two recent visits to LegoLand! Must get those printed and journalled, and then shared on here. I have not done a photo print order in months – I am definitely slacking on that front!
Lastly, I have the new weekly deals to share with you – better late in the day than never, eh?!
Have a great afternoon!
