Chevron punch Christmas Tree

Here, as promised yesterday, is Christmas! This is a card based on an idea I saw on Pinterest, and I loved the concept.

chevron_christmas_tree

This little cutie was quick and easy to make using the new-ish Chevron punch. This punch appeared first in last year’s Autumn/ Winter catalogue, and has carried forwards into the annual catalogue for this year. It is really versatile; I really need to use it more! But for now I will share this use with you – it is a Christmas Tree!

Using Old Olive card, I punched the chevrons from the card and stuck them to a Chocolate Chip trunk and both of these were popped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the corners rounded. The base card is made from Soft Suede and the sentiment is stamped in my favourite Christmassy red – Cherry Cobbler! I adore the combination of Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive for Christmas!

It’s hard to tell from this picture, but the dot at the top of the tree is actually a lovely sparkly Basic Rhinestone.

I hope you like the card I have shared with you today. Who knows what it will be tomorrow… Have a great day!

About Katie

Katie has been crafting for most of her life, but has been an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since April 2010. Her favourite techniques are rubber stamping, heat embossing and 3D decoupage, mainly applied in card making, but she's also an avid memory keeper! She loves the pocket scrapbooking style as it is quick and easy, and makes memory keeping much more achievable for her than the "traditional" option. She would love to share this with you if you are intrigued!
