Christmas Notes with Warmth and Wonder

Apologies for the lateness of today’s post. Life has been far too busy! And I have a new excitement in my life – an easy way of scrapbooking! That’s been occupying my mind the past day or so when I’ve not been working. I will share more on that soon, but suffice to say that I’ve treated myself to a few new bits and bobs, but I hope that this new setup will actually allow me to make use of the *tons* of supplies which are currently languishing in my garage!

So to today’s share – these are the 25 Christmas notecards which I made and mentioned the other week. I love these little cards, and they will make a big difference in my plan to have plenty of Christmas cards to send this year, and maybe even get to sell some like I have been wanting to do for a while.

This is the front of the card. The sentiment from the Warmth and Wonder hostess stamp set has been heat embossed in Pewter embossing powder after being stamped in Versamark ink. This gives a beautiful tactile finish with a lovely metallic sheen to bring a bit of sparkle to the festive season. I like this sentiment as there is no mention of Christmas, so it means that these cards are suitable for the whole winter period and not just for the “main event”.

These pictures unfortunately don’t show the lovely image of the hot drinks from a retired hostess set, but they do show how I have decorated the front, above, and back, below, of the envelopes:

I made some of the cards with the alternative sentiment, which has the envelope front stamped to match:

I cut the card “blanks” in front of the TV a while back, as well as stamping and punching the focal images, so the other evening was just spent stamping, embossing and sticking. Lovely! I repurposed the envelopes from some old Christmas cards which we were never going to send out, so they got recycled and the envelopes are now being put to a better use!

Here’s the stack of all of the cards together, all protected in card bags:

I hope that you like them. I’m off to watch “The Hoarder Next Door” now, and think of clever plans for my scrapbooks – I’m all fired up this week 🙂

About Katie

Katie has been crafting for most of her life, but has been an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since April 2010. Her favourite techniques are rubber stamping, heat embossing and 3D decoupage, mainly applied in card making, but she's also an avid memory keeper! She loves the pocket scrapbooking style as it is quick and easy, and makes memory keeping much more achievable for her than the "traditional" option. She would love to share this with you if you are intrigued!
