So we don’t all have a birthday everyday (more’s the pity on the present front, but perhaps not on the aging one!), but it is one of those everyday crafting occasions that most people and all papercrafters have need of cards for throughout the year. And isn’t it nice to have quick and easy but attractive and fun designs for your birthday cards?
How’s that for a card you would be pleased to give to someone?
Even the back is pretty, and I decorated the envelope with a bit of stamping, too. Some on the front:
And some on the back and the flap:
This is just one of the card designs in the Everyday Occasions card kit from Stampin’ Up! The kit contains enough supplies (and instructions) to make 20 cards, and includes everything you need to make them, including stamps and ink. The only extras you have to add are some glue and some scissors. And the cards you can make are great. They cover almost any occasion, and are not too “girlie” so if you have to make boy cards (which a lot of people struggle with), you’re in luck!
As I said yesterday, I thought there was a lot to take in with the new catalogue supplement, and the limited time offer for the supplies and goodies, so I wanted to save this project for today to really let it shine. But if you had a look at the supplement, you may have noticed that the Everyday Occasions kit is featured on the back cover as a gift idea! So it was great timing for me to share this project. It was not planned that way, it was just a happy coincidence 🙂
This card was what we gave our colleague for his birthday a few days ago, and the cards in this kit are perfect for events like that. I believe the card went down well, though I wasn’t in the office when they gave it to him. One of the best bits about using Stampin’ Up! kits is that you can follow the instructions/ inspiration sheet exactly and make the same cards as shown in the leaflet, or you can mix it up and create your own designs – either way, it works. Plus, you don’t need a die-cutting machine or loads of punches to create some pretty shaped pieces for your cards – they are already pre-cut for you. Fabulous! Even the “Made by Me” stamp is part of the kit.
So go on, what are you waiting for? The cards you can make from this kit work out costing just £1.35 each – and you get to keep the stamps and ink to create loads more cards on top of that! The kit comes in a useful box to keep all of the components together, so it is great for travelling, too. Why not treat yourself to one to make all your Christmas Thank You cards? Even if you are not at home for the festive season, you can still add some fun and crafting into your holidays.
Have a great day, and I plan to be back later on with the weekly deals for this week. If I am lucky, I will also get a chance to add and upload some Convention goodies so I can share those with you tomorrow. Fingers crossed…!
