Today I apologise upfront for not having something new to share with you. Instead, I thought it might be nice to have a quick focus on Christmas cards. Over the course of this year, I have shared a few Christmas cards with you, so I wanted to recap on some of these as now is a great time to really start making your cards in readiness for December. It will be here before we know it, and while the nights are drawing in and the weather is nasty, what better way to spend your time than crafting happily in the warm?
I would recommend a good crafting light if you want to craft in the evenings now, as it makes a big difference to how things look, especially when matching colours. However, the great news is that this is far less important when working with Stampin’ Up! products as you know they will definitely coordinate, and match too if you use the same colour across all the mediums (card, ink, designer papers, ribbons, buttons, etc.)! Hurrah.
So, here are a few cards which I have made this year and will be sending out or maybe even selling if I find I have plenty for my requirements this year:
And a couple which I did not make, but really like, and shared with you previously:
I hope that these shares have given you something of an idea of at least one card design to get you started with your Christmas crafting. It doesn’t matter if you make 1 card or 100, we all need some inspiration sometimes and it’s nice to see a range of ideas. I have to say I love Pinterest for this reason, it is a single place to go to look for visual prompts on what I want to make this time, without necessarily getting distracted by all of the words on peoples blogs. (I love blogs, but they can be a worse time-drain than Pinterest!) You can always click through to the actual project if you want or need more detail (if it’s available!).
Have a great weekend, and I promise I have a new birthday card to share with you on Tuesday – the photos are already uploaded! Next week might be a mix of posts, as I will be getting ready to go to Convention, and will not be in the office at all. The following week, however, I should be bursting with inspiration and ideas to share with you, as Convention is an amazing time to gather thoughts and products 🙂 Next week is also the pre-order period for the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue Christmas supplement, so I will be ordering some of the bits from that and will hopefully have time to play with some to share some projects with you! The supplement is live from October 20th and all products are “while stock lasts” so you wil want to get in quick if there is anything you desperately “need”!
See you next week 🙂
