Have a happy wonderful Christmas!
I love this wonderful sentiment from the Wonderous Wreath stamp set. It’s just a lovely, happy sentiment with a lot of love behind it. And it goes beautifully with the lovely tree from the Festival of Trees stamp set.
These cards use the Confetti Stars Border punch to give the night sky effect, and the little punched out stars can always be re-used in your shaker cards or add them to your home-made crackers to add a bit of pizazz to proceedings!
A bit of dazzling details added to the flowers/ baubles on the tree goes a long way. I made a number of these cards (quick and easy bulk makes, so make the most of that!) and the twins helped me with a lot of the baubles! Some of them are “bigger” than others, when they got a bit enthusiastic about squeezing the bottle 😉
Fun for all the family!
I know they’re not for everyone, but I am liking the current trend for the Kraft cards at the moment, they’re a bit more rustic and a bit different to the traditional cards. One thing I have noticed from the Christmas cards I have received this year is that people are steering away from the branded and cartoon-style cards this year, and going back to the more traditional snowy villages and postbox images. Which is quite interesting. Or maybe that’s just my friends and colleagues! Either way, there’s a wonderful array of choices out there, whether you want to make your own cards, or buy them pre-made, you can probably get just about what you want these days.
The colours on this card are Real Red and Old Olive, which is a very traditional colour combination, but mixed up a bit with the Crumb Cake (Kraft) it gives it a different sort of feel. I hope that you like it.
Right, that’s me pretty much done for Christmas. Just a last couple of bits and bobs to sort out, and I’m done. Including packing the car … must leave enough space for the kids 😉
Have a great festive season, and I will be back in the New Year. I know that I am unlikely to post again for a week or more, so it’s best to sign off now and be back raring to go in January! I’m hoping for some crafty time over the festive season to create some lovely new projects, so keep your fingers crossed that works out for me.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2016!! (And be ready for SaleABration – it’s going to be wonderful!!)
