Hello You (and Hello December?)

Hello you – and welcome back! It’s a new week, with new projects.

Here’s today’s share – another Project Life greetings card:

project_life_hello_you

I love a nice quick card which does not use loads of supplies, and doesn’t take long to put together. As with all of the other Project Life cards we made at team training this card uses no stamps, ink or fluff, just the Project Life Moments Like These accessory pack and some card and paper. Fabulous.

The “hello” banner is already printed onto the 2×2″ cad, the black patterned card is just stuck straight onto the card, and the “you” is made up with the gold letters from the accessory pack. The striped piece is from the In Colours envelope paper pack (cut with the triple banner punch), and the card base and panel are straightforward Mint Macaron and Whisper White card respectively. The bow and the sequin have come straight out of the accessory pack and are stuck down with multipurpose adhesive (tombow). The finishing touch is the stripe of washi tape – which also comes from the accessory pack! I *really* need to use more washi tape on my projects! It is great stuff, and I have absolutely tons of it, but somehow I never manage to remember to use it. How silly!

So that’s the Hello you part of the post – but what’s this about Hello December? It’s only August, you twit Katie!

Yes, I know it’s only August, but on Tuesday it will be September 1st, and I’m hoping you all know what that means? It means it’s the launch date for the new catalogue!!! The Autumn/ Winter seasonal offering goes live on Tuesday, and what an offering it is. I hope you all remember my Hello December album which I did last December? I know I never really shared many of the pages on this blog, but maybe I will do that in the lead up to this year, just to whet your appetite! I *adore* my album. Even though it is not “finished”, as in there are no embellishments, some of the pockets have extra cards tucked into the back, there’s a photo or two missing, and the album itself needs a title label, I love seeing it on my sideboard. Every time I look at it, I remember the happy holiday season, and how much fun we had making memories, and how much fun I had putting the album together. And how little time it actually took on a daily basis!

So this year there’s the Hello December 2015 album and kit and accessory pack – and it’s just as gorgeous as last year’s! It has a very different feel, with more muted colours and watercolour washes and the like, whereas last year had lots of bright colours and more of the primary hues, but it is amazing. I cannot wait to get started! I have the kit available to view now, and if you come along to my open house event on Saturday 5th September, you will be able to have a look at it, plus lots more of the gorgeous new products. Overall I can highly recommend making yourself a Christmas/ December album, and I am thoroughly looking forwards to making another 6×8″ album to add to my shelf. Sadly the red Cherry Cobbler album from last year is not being repeated, but the Kraft one is pretty, or you can go for the Early Espresso album from the Annual Catalogue. You can obviously also do a 12×12″ album if that suits you better, but I love having the small size and everything in a self-contained unit. Part of our December this year will include the twins’ first ever “proper” birthday party, so that will make a fabulous addition to my album.

Get ready to say hello to the new Seasonal catalogue, get your cards and tags and goodies ready for the Autumn and Winter festivities (including Hallowe’en if that’s your choice) and treat yourself to some adorable new crafting goodies. If you have children at school, I can also recommend the Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Project Life card kit and accessory pack for documenting the start of the school year and other autumnal and wintery activities. They are just adorable, and very “on trend”. And not even a big outlay at just £14.50 for 100 double-sided cards in a storage box!

Okay, so I hope that whets your appetite for the upcoming products, I will share photographs as soon as I can, and will also aim to get some projects done in the next week or so to share with you at my open house launch party and on here. Do get in touch if you’d like to come along to my open house, and I will post the details shortly. It will be on Saturday morning, 5th September. I hope that you can join me.

Have a great day!

About Katie

Katie has been crafting for most of her life, but has been an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since April 2010. Her favourite techniques are rubber stamping, heat embossing and 3D decoupage, mainly applied in card making, but she's also an avid memory keeper! She loves the pocket scrapbooking style as it is quick and easy, and makes memory keeping much more achievable for her than the "traditional" option. She would love to share this with you if you are intrigued!
