Holiday snaps using Project Life

I have yet another Project Life layout for you today. This is what I have been focussing on a lot recently!

This is another page from our holiday layouts – and it shows how you can use photos in the small slots of the pages as well as in the 6×4″ spaces. I use pixlr.com to crop the pictures as I want them, and to maintain a 3:4 ratio, and then I combine 2 small pictures onto a 6×4″ canvas and get them printed with my other images. Cut them in half, round the corners if preferred and pop them in the slots 🙂

I have not used the Stampin’ Up! cards for these particular pages (as they were not available to order before we went away!) but they are chock full of photographs. If you have a lot of images, and not so much to say, then this is a great system. It also works well for a mix of landscape and portrait images if the portrait images (in this layout style) are not “feature” images, or full of lots of detail which would be lost in the small scale. You can also print off larger pictures and cut them into “bits” to fit into the pockets which looks really effective. I have not done this as yet, but I have grand plans…!

I hope you like this page. Back tomorrow, all being well 🙂

About Katie

Katie has been crafting for most of her life, but has been an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since April 2010. Her favourite techniques are rubber stamping, heat embossing and 3D decoupage, mainly applied in card making, but she's also an avid memory keeper! She loves the pocket scrapbooking style as it is quick and easy, and makes memory keeping much more achievable for her than the "traditional" option. She would love to share this with you if you are intrigued!
