In just a few short weeks it will be Mother’s Day. So today I thought I would share with you this lovely card that Julie came up with for her make and take card at a recent event that she held. I managed to pop round for just long enough to meet her new little boy, and to make a card! Then I had to rush home to look after my own little people as their Dad wasn’t feeling too well that day.
So this type of card is ideal for any type of happy occasion, really, but with this colour combination and design, I thought it would make a lovely card for Mother’s Day. I actually made my cards for Mother’s Day last night, and they are totally different to this, but that is partly because I don’t have these supplies in my crafty stash! I will share the design that I used with you soon.
The pink background card is the newest colour of the core’dinations cardstock, which has a lighter coloured core and is ideal for embossing then lightly sanding. That is what we have done here, using the new hexagon embossing folder from the Spring/ Summer seasonal catalogue. And the patterned bit is some of the lovely Designer Series Paper, though I am not sure off the top of my head which set it comes from!
I hope you like the card idea, and don’t forget that you can take the concept and change it to work with the supplies that you already have, or you can contact me to order these exact items if that is what you would prefer!
More ideas are just round the corner…
