New Stampin’ Up! catalogue 2016

Wow, that was a long break! Unexpectedly, I was signed off sick from work in January, and since then I have been working hard on my recovery. So my blog has suffered, as has my crafting, but hopefully all is on the up again now! Apologies for the radio silence, but my health had to come first.

So what do I have to share with you now I am back? The new Stampin’ Up! catalogue launched yesterday, on the 1st of June, and people are *loving it*! There are 212 pages of lovely Stampin’ Up! goodness, including stamps, dies, ribbons, ink, papers, embellishments and loveliness. There are 5 new In Colours which will be around for the 2016-2018 catalogue periods, and they are fun and flirty and definitely on-trend.

So let’s have a look at the cover, shall we?

Nice, huh?! This is just a taster of the loveliness and the inspiration contained between the covers. As always, you can visit the Stampin’ Up! website and have a browse of the brand new 2016-17 annual catalogue, or you can contact me and get your hands on a hard copy if you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

Let’s show you the contents layout for the catalogue, shall we? I love this!

It’s a fabulous visual for what you might be looking for in your crafting. Most crafters generally have an occasion or event for which they want to create a masterpiece, so the layout of the new catalogue helps us to find the items we might want to focus in on. But just because an item is contained within, for example, the baby section, it does not mean that it is not also suitable for many other occasions. A lot of the sets, particularly the sentiment-based sets, are very much multi-occasion, so make sure you have a look through the whole catalogue, or you might miss some real gems!

This guy, for example:

He is included in the baby and kids section, but who would not love this little dude?! He has definitely won the hearts of the worldwide demonstrator community, and I predict that he will be a massive seller throughout the catalogue period and especially to start with while we all get our “foxy fix”! He isn’t just a fox, either, he can be a bunch of cool animals including a raccoon, a reindeer, a skunk, a cat, and many, many more! The team at Stampin’ Up! head office have created a handful of examples, but they are nothing to what will appear once the crafting community get their hands on this stamp set and the coordinating builder punch! Take a look at the fabulous stamp set:

I will be back on Saturday morning as part of a Stampin’ Stars team blog hop, which is being organised by one of my team mates, and it ought to be quite exciting, so I hope you can join me for that. A blog hop is a group of people who all schedule a blog post for the same time, and link to the other blogs in the group as a circular system of links to follow round and see lots of great ideas – in this case, using new products from the new annual catalogue. I hope you come along to see what I and my team members have to offer you on Saturday!

About Katie

Katie has been crafting for most of her life, but has been an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since April 2010. Her favourite techniques are rubber stamping, heat embossing and 3D decoupage, mainly applied in card making, but she's also an avid memory keeper! She loves the pocket scrapbooking style as it is quick and easy, and makes memory keeping much more achievable for her than the "traditional" option. She would love to share this with you if you are intrigued!
