This is a very exciting announcement from Stampin’ Up! As of today, we now have Thinlits dies available which will allow you to quickly and easily make the “new” flip-style cards. There are two designs available, a label card and a circle card, and they cut and score in one easy step. See the flyer for more details:
This picture gives you a little teaser of what the cards can do – see the flyer for full details!
The dies also come with some extra embellishment dies, including words and shapes. There are 9 dies in total in the label set, and there are 10 dies in total in the circle set! Each set costs £29.95, and will allow you to make some really “wow” cards in next to no time. I will have some samples on the blog for you very soon, as I have the label set myself. (If you want to learn more about becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator so you get the news about brand new items early, and can pre-order items like these dies, then don’t hesitate to contact me to find out more or ask me any questions.)
These dies are ideal for batch making really exciting Christmas cards, or making unique cards for birthdays, parties, special events and the like. The Labels die set even has a die for “I love you”! How about that for a special Valentines card…?
I am really excited about these dies, and if you have seen any of the *gorgeous* projects on the American demonstrators’ blogs recently then you will be too. America have had these dies for a couple of months or so now, so there is a ton of inspiration out there for what you can use them for. Just take a look on Pinterest! I actually have a board on Pinterest which I use just for the flip card and expressions thinlits as well as some ideas on my other boards such as Christmas. Go and check them out and see how many of the designs you can resist! I’m guessing not many…
Stampin’ Up! just keep the new and exciting developments coming – keep your eyes peeled for another one at the beginning of November… ;o)
In the meantime I will leave you with these thoughts from Head Office about the Thinlits dies:
“They’ve been called flip cards, flip flop cards, swing cards, and more—but they have always been a bit tricky to create. Not anymore! Our amazing new Thinlits Card Dies cut and score to create a card that flips in just one step.
There are some products you just have to see in action before you realise how much you need them, right? This is one of them!
These new card dies come with extra die pieces that have versatile designs, so you can use them on other projects, not just flip cards. (The Circle Card Thinlits Die comes with 10 total pieces; the Label Card Thinlits Die comes with nine total pieces.)
With the number of dies you’re getting, plus the die that creates the card itself, the price is a great value–especially to create an interactive card!
•Think about mass production of these impressive “flip” cards. They would make great announcements, invitations, or Christmas cards.
•These Thinlits Card Dies will be available at least through the 2013–2014 catalogue year, so you can feel confident investing in them and working with them for many months to come.
•The main shape in the cards (circle and label) can work with a lot of our stamp images so you can create tons of different kinds of cards using many different stamp sets. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:
