Todays card uses some Stampin’ Up! kit and some from Crafter’s Companion. The number stamps are the Morning Post numbers kit from the Autumn/ Winter catalogue from 2013, and the silver die-cuts are the Bigz Typeset alphabet. That die set is a big investment, but it is very versatile as it is a classic typeface and not “quirky” or fashionable. The bear is “Popcorn”, hence the post title!
And inside I added a hanging tag and a tape measure, to imply the passing of time…
The card was a big pearlised 8×8 card to give plenty of room for the numberline and the image:
This is the card i made for the twins to give to Daddy. As Smidge’s favourite thing at the moment is counting, and it will be another 11 years until hubby’s age is two consecutive numbers, in the right order, I had to make the most of the concept of the number line across the card! I was pleased with how it turned out, and there was plenty of space for the twins to “sign” it 🙂
It was well-received, which is always nice. I now have to get on with crafting our Easter cards – I stamped a bunch of bunnies the other week for just this purpose, and yesterday I got a cute photo of the twins printed out a few times to add to the cards. So I don’t anticipate them taking ages to complete… here’s hoping I’m right! Especially as I have some photo-cards at home to use, which was what gave me the idea in the first place. I anticipate that getting the twins to sign them will be the most challenging part, even allowing for the frustration which comes with inserting photos into those card blanks!
