Project Life holiday

No, sorry, not a holiday from Project Life, but another Project Life page using our holiday photos. Did I tell you I made 30 12×12″ layouts using our holiday snaps? Don’t panic, I don’t plan to share them all with you here, but considering how little time I have for crafting these days, I was very pleased with that total. It definitely helped to do the journalling “live”, as in at the end of each day. But I also love using the “card” slots, the little pockets, for small photos instead of cards on at least some of the pages.

Here’s todays share:

This is the very last page, showing all our luggage and everyone (except me) before we got back in our cars and went home. We stopped at the services for lunch on the way, and after that the twins fell asleep in the car, as it had been a pretty early start. The twins had a sandwich and orange juice, not McDonalds! That was what they wanted 🙂

The top photos show Smudge pulling her little suitcase Trunki along through the airport to baggage reclaim. These suitcases were so useful and they hold a lot of stuff for their size. You definitely need to contain things in bags within the space, though, or when you open them all the stuff falls out! We had “themed” bags within the twins’ cases, and a lot of it was new small toys to keep them entertained if necessary on the flight. We had snacks (essential!), smnall cars, colouring sets including pictures in a pad and crayons in the attached box at the back, a change of clothes (just in case), their sunglasses and hats, a cuddly toy, finger puppets, and Smudge had a bag with a hairbrush and mirror. But most of the time they were happy just to soak up the atmosphere of the plane and investigate the in-flight magazine (Smudge) or chat to Grandad (Smidge)! All in all they had a great time, and it was definitely easier with them having their own seat on the plane this time round.

I have some cards to share with you for next week – I just need to get the photos uploaded into the media library (as always!). Gary is away for 5 days from first thing tomorrow morning, so I have the twins on my own for that time – I hope they are in a good mood and are not too tough to handle! But I ought to get a little peace and quiet in which to do my jobs, so hopefully I will also get to upload these pictures. Have a great weekend!

About Katie

Katie has been crafting for most of her life, but has been an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator since April 2010. Her favourite techniques are rubber stamping, heat embossing and 3D decoupage, mainly applied in card making, but she's also an avid memory keeper! She loves the pocket scrapbooking style as it is quick and easy, and makes memory keeping much more achievable for her than the "traditional" option. She would love to share this with you if you are intrigued!
