Welcome to a gloomy and slightly damp September morning! Autumn really has hit in this part of England this week. As promised before I went away for the week, here I have some sunny Thinlit Greeting stacks cards to share which should add a brighter spark to this Tuesday.
We’ll start with the easiest one to see – the others are a bit more camoflaged as the patterns are busier. These are made by cutting the main greeting using the word thinlit out of a panel of patterned paper, then sticking the panel to a card blank. Before sticking the greeting back in, you cut multiple words from plain cardstock (white or coloured, depending on the look you want to achieve) and stack them up so the greeting is 3-dimensional. Then you place the stack into the die cut space on the card front and stick it down. Voila!
These particular thinlits dies coordinate perfectly with the Crazy for You stamp set, to create bespoke sentiments, so I would add some extra words and greetings like “birthday”, “crazy for”, or “love” to these cards to just finish them off. They are very easy to make, and with the new fine tip glue pen they should be even easier to make than they were before!
I think I will be making some of these cards using the various Christmas greeting word dies in the new Autumn/ Winter seasonal catalogue and cut them from the gorgeous patterned papers that are currently available! The suites of products in the seasonal offering this year are lovely, and you can easily dress these cards up to the nines for Christmas using all the beautiful embellishments – I’m looking at you, sparkly snowflake Winter Wonderland embellishments – and ribbons and stamps. Have fun playing with your toys, that’s what I say!
Here’s the shot of all four cards together:
I hope that you have liked today’s share, and I will be back tomorrow with a birthday card which I made for a work colleague which went down very nicely.
