I hope you had a good Valentine’s day on Friday. Mine was pretty good – I got 4 Valentines cards, all from my kids! (Not sure what happened to hubby…)
Here’s a picture of them – I love them! One is even double-sided, but I didn’t get a photo of that view. This is what our mantlepiece currently looks like.
If you look closely you might even see a sneak peek on the right of the card I made for Gary. That’s my share for tomorrow so come back then to see it in more detail!
We had a lovely weekend – we went to a hotel near Birmingham for the weekend, which was our Christmas present from my Grandad. The package included the night in the hotel with breakfast included, and a Valentines “ball” event with dinner and cabaret. It wasn’t a ball in my world, more of a disco, and the cabaret was a singer who started with songs like fly me to the moon, and then for his second set seemed to go through the playlist of Robbie Williams “Sing when you’re winning” and ended with two random pop songs! But it was a pleasant enough evening all in all and it was lovely to spend time with my brother and his fiancee. We chatted loads about what they have planned for their wedding next year, and Tash asked me to get involved in various papercrafting projects which is lovely. I will be working on some samples and trying bits out, so they will definitely be shared on here as it is an easy way to share my thoughts with her! Please feel free to comment too!
Right, I’d best get on with all the things I am supposed to be doing this week, but come back tomorrow for Gary’s Valentines card…
