On Saturday we went to a housewarming party at our friends’ new home. They moved a couple of months ago, so are pretty settled in now, but they had a party and said “bring a bottle”. So what else could we do…
I made a card, bottle tag and envelope liner, all to match. They were really quick and easy to do, too. I used some of the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Papers pack, and one sheet did all three items with enough left over to make another A6 card, plus a few scraps. I love this paper, it really does look elegant! And I thought it looked like posh wallpaper in this particular design, so was totally appropriate for a new home card.
The close up of the card shows the embellishments I used – I cut out the Smoky Slate frame and sentiment with the Decorative Label Punch and the tickets with the Ticket Builder Punch. The frame, house and sentiment are from the Sweetly Framed Hostess stamp set, and the “Admit One” tickets are from “Take a Ticket”. There are three tickets as there are currently three members of their family. The first ticket is stuck directrly to the card, and then the subsequent tickets have one end stuck to the card, and the other end popped up on one or two layers of dimensionals as they fan out.
I hope they liked their coordinated set of house warming gifts.
