As promised, today I have a project to share with you using the brand new and exclusive SaleABration Irresistibly Yours papers. I am going to own up and say that I didn’t make this gorgeous card, it was one of the samples made for the displays at the demonstrators SaleABration tour by Stampin’ Up in December. I don’t know who it was who actually made it, but I love it!
These Irresistibly Yours papers are very clever, and definitely do not have to be blue. They are what is known as resist papers, and have an embossed pattern on them (this one happens to be stars, but there are a number of designs in the pack) – when you look at them they just look like white card, with some shiny bits on. Those shiny bits are the embossed patterns, and they are liquid-resistant so when you ink the papers, the embossed areas resist the colour and stay white. You can use pretty much any colour you want on them, and use lots of different techniques to colour the papers including pens, sprays and spritzes, sponging, stencilling, etc. I believe that this sample was probably made by spritzing two different colours onto the paper, but as I didn’t do it I cannot be completely sure.
The star was cut from the Silver Glimmer Paper using the lovely Star framelits, and was cut using two of the framelits at the same time, nested inside one another to create a frame to go around the lovely sentiment. The sentiment “Wish Big” is from the stamp set A Dozen Thoughts. I hadn’t really noticed that stamp before, but it is really cute! The star is then stamped in the background before punching out the circle and mounting it on the card with dimensionals.
A beautiful and simple card which could be used for so many different occasions – love it. If you want to get your hands on some of this amazing Irresistibly Yours paper, then work out your £45 order (before postage) and then either visit my online store, or contact me to put the order through. And don’t forget, if you need to stock up on anything, or have a big list of bits you want, you earn a free item for every £45 increment so SaleABration is definitely the time to get those bits and must-haves!
I am holding an open house event on January 31st – stay tuned for more details coming soon, but keep that morning free if you would like to come along.
